About Us
About Right of Way Driving School
Right of Way Driving School was built for students who want more than a rushed lesson and generic advice. We focus on calm, structured driving instruction in Chilliwack, with real-world coaching, road test preparation, and a safety-first experience from the first pickup to test day.
Our Story
Right of Way started with a simple goal: make driving lessons feel more useful, more modern, and more reassuring than the average school. That means honest feedback, practical coaching on real Chilliwack roads, and a lesson structure that helps students understand why they make mistakes — not just hear that they made one.
Our Safety-First Approach
- Calm, high-attention coaching so students can build confidence without feeling rushed.
- Real-road preparation based on the intersections, merges, and traffic patterns students actually face in Chilliwack.
- Dual-control protection that gives the instructor more control when quicker corrections are needed.
What Makes Right of Way Different
- Chilliwack-focused instruction instead of one-size-fits-all route planning.
- ICBC road test preparation for both Class 7 and Class 5 students.
- Patient, structured teaching for first-time learners and nervous drivers.
- A modern training car with dual steering, instructor-side gas and brake, HUD, and surround cameras.
- Clear online booking with package options and 24/7 website chat support.
Meet Your Instructor
Serge is the founder and lead instructor at Right of Way Driving School. He teaches with a calm, direct style that helps students understand the road, correct weak habits, and build real confidence behind the wheel. Students often describe the lessons as supportive, thorough, and focused on practical improvement rather than pressure.
The Training Car
Every lesson is taught in a Toyota Corolla Hybrid equipped with dual steering wheels, instructor-side gas and brake, a head-up display, and surround-view cameras. It is a safer, more controlled learning environment — especially helpful for new drivers, anxious students, and anyone preparing for a high-stakes road test.
What Students Can Expect
Lessons are built around progress, not wasted time. Students can expect a clear objective for each session, focused driving practice, honest feedback, and a plan for what to improve next. Whether you are starting from zero or getting ready for your test, the goal is the same: make you safer, calmer, and more capable on the road.
